I tillegg til rokken fikk jeg alle de flotte strikkebøkene jeg har ønsket meg, men de måtte bestilles fra amazon så jeg håper de kommer snart.

Som en oppvarming til «Victorian Lace», som jeg gleder meg spesielt til har jeg begynt på et «snowdrop shawl» jeg fant på nettet. Jeg bruker «mohair lux» som egentlig er litt for tykt og hårete men til gjengjeld går det rimelig fort unna. Misty er en engel og hjalp meg å legge sjalet ut så jeg fikk ta bilde av det.

So I got my spinning weel, but I cannot seem to get it to work properly. The tension on the drive band is too high no matter what I do. I probably need to get a more elastic band to work with. Guess I`ll try out some of the «Elastic fantastic» we have in the bead shop. I`ll figure it out, rest assured. In addition to the weel I got some yarns, and… (drumroll) all the books I`ve wished for! All though mom couldn`t find them, so she had to order them from the states. I hope they arrive soon…

Warming up for the Victorian Lace book arrives i have started a «Snowdrop shawl» in mohair. I`ve had some trouble figure out the terms of lace weight yarns and such so I thought starting there would be ok. The yarn is a bit to hairy and not really suited for lace but it is also rather thick and therefore it knits up pretty fast.

Misty is, as allways, really helpful getting the pictures right.
